Your CBT

Compassionate psychotherapy for adults and children

Are you looking for mental health support for you or a loved one? I am a trained and accredited psychotherapist, experienced in low mood, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, emotion dysregulation, low self-esteem and perfectionism.

About Jill Bluff

Warm, collaborative and practical CBT

I am Jill Bluff, a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (accreditation number 1029017). Alongside private practice, I work in the NHS offering evidence-based therapy for a wide range of mental health difficulties.

I have particular experience in eating disorders and disordered eating, body image, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive difficulties, emotion regulation and perfectionism. Sessions can be online, by phone or face to face — I am based in North Nottinghamshire.

How I can help

Areas of work

We map what is keeping the difficulty going, then agree manageable steps towards the changes that matter to you.

Eating disorders

Support for binge eating, bulimia, ARFID, atypical anorexia, body image difficulties and related patterns — with GP involvement where physical health needs monitoring.

Anxiety & OCD

Treatment for generalised anxiety, health anxiety, social anxiety, panic, emetophobia and OCD using clear, collaborative CBT strategies.

Mood & perfectionism

Help with prolonged low mood, harsh self-criticism and the perfection trap — building skills so you can become your own therapist over time.

Common questions

What brings people to Your CBT

Low mood and depression

If low mood has become prolonged and distressing, we map why it is stuck and use behavioural activation and cognitive techniques to help you change how you interact with daily life.

Anxiety

When anxiety becomes intense enough to stop you living the life you want, assessment helps us understand the pattern and teach strategies that reduce avoidance and worry.

Eating disorders

Eating difficulties do not always look the way people expect. You do not need to be underweight or feel “ill enough” before making an enquiry. Please contact me to discuss whether private therapy is appropriate and safe.

Urgent help

Your CBT is not a crisis service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999 or attend A&E. You can also call Samaritans on 116 123, or text SHOUT to 85258.

Start with a short conversation

A free 15-minute suitability call is a brief first step — not a therapy session — to check whether CBT with me is likely to help.
